Can you turn off the sensor on AirPods?

This post will show you if you can turn off the sensors on AirPods or AirPods Pro and how to do it.

You can’t turn off the tap functionality on AirPods 1 and 2 or the squeeze functionality on AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro. You can turn off automatic ear detection on iPhone and iPad by going “Bluetooth” then clicking the “i” next to your AirPods and then you can turn if off from there.

Can you turn off the force sensor on AirPods?

To do this, do the following:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Go to “Bluetooth”
  3. Click the “i” next to your AirPods
  4. From there you will have the option to turn off Automatic ear detection
