Cast Video And Audio Separately (How To)

As a frustrated owner of a device that refuses to cast both audio and video together, I’ve come to share my experience and the solutions I discovered after doing some research and testing. In this blog post, I’m going to show you how to cast video and audio separately so you can enjoy your favorite media content on the big screen. I’ll also share with you a few other solutions I discovered in case the first one doesn’t work for you. So let’s get started!

To cast video and audio separately requires a video player that supports casting, i.e., YouTube, and a compatible audio output device. Open the video player, click the Cast button at the top right corner of the screen. Select audio output from the list of available devices to start casting video and audio.

How To Cast Video And Audio Separately

If you want to cast video and audio separately, there are a few things you need to know. You have to own a video player that supports this feature. Second, you need to have a compatible audio output device. Finally, you must know how to properly configure the video player and audio output device. In this article, we’ll show you exactly what to do.

The first step is to select a video player that supports casting separately in audio and video. The most common ones are YouTube and Netflix. For this example, we’ll be using Netflix. Next, you need an audio output device that can receive the video signal from your computer via HDMI cable and send it out through an audio cable (most commonly RCA). This is called “audio out.”

In our case, we will use an analog sound bar as the audio output device. If you don’t have one, you can get an inexpensive audio receiver from Amazon or Best Buy that will do the job just as well.

Once you’ve set up your video player and audio output device, it’s time to cast your video separately in audio and video. Here’s how:

  • Open up your video player of choice (in this case, Netflix).
  • Click on the Cast button at the top right corner of your screen.
  • Select your audio output device from the list of available devices.

That’s it! You’ve successfully cast your video and audio separately.

Now that you know how to do this, you can get creative. If you want to watch a movie or TV show with subtitles, you must click on the Subtitles button on Netflix and select “CC.” Now you’ll be able to simultaneously see the subtitles while listening to whatever was playing on your audio output device. Pretty cool, right?

How Do I Change Audio Output While Casting?

If you’re wondering how to change audio output while casting, don’t worry, it’s easy! We’ll show you how to do it in just a few simple steps.

With the recent updates to the Google Chrome browser, it’s now possible to change the audio output while casting a tab playing YouTube videos. This can be handy when listening through headphones rather than your TV speakers – for example, while watching a movie in bed.

Open the Extensions menu by clicking the menu button and selecting More Tools > Extensions. Find Audio Cast Receiver Extension in the list and click the Options link. In the window that opens, select your preferred audio device in the drop-down menu and click Save.

Now when you play a YouTube video in any tab, it will play through your headphones instead of your TV’s speakers. A small icon will show in the top right corner of the tab playing the audio. Clicking this symbol will mute and unmute the sound so you can listen through your headphones without interruptions.

If you don’t have an extension but would still like to change audio output while casting, you can do it by going into the YouTube tab’s settings window. First, play any video on YouTube in a regular tab. Then click the little three-dot menu next to the YouTube logo at the top right of your browser and select Settings. In the window that opens, switch to the Audio tab.

That’s all there is to it! Now when you play a YouTube video in any tab, it will play through your headphones instead of your TV’s speakers. You’ll see a drop-down menu with your computer’s default audio device selected – click it and select the headphones you want to listen through instead.

You can do this with pretty much any website that supports audio playback via browser – for example, Spotify or Vimeo. If you have an extension called Audio Cast Receiver installed on your computer, it will also work on websites that don’t support casting.

How To Cast Your Audio From Your Android Device

The best thing about Android devices is you can easily cast your audio to another device.

There are various ways to cast your audio from your Android device. Use a third-party app like AirAudio or iMediaShare to use a Chromecast-compatible app like Google Play Music or Spotify.

How To Cast Your Android Audio: AirAudio

For the first method, you must use a third-party app called AirAudio. This app allows you to cast music from your phone’s speakers or headphones and other apps like Google Play Music and Spotify.

Go to Google Play Store on your phone and search for “AirAudio.” The app should be among the top results. Tap the ‘install’ button and allow the app to install on your device. Once it’s finished installing, open the app.

Now, you have to select an audio source (your phone’s speaker or headphones), pick an app to cast from, and hit the Cast button at the bottom of the screen.

To cast Spotify music from your phone’s speakers, tap the Play button in the top-left corner and start playing some music on either your phone or the Spotify app. Once you do this, you should see a button in your notification area that says “CAST.” You can tap this to stop casting if you want to.

If you’re using headphones for audio, you’ll also see an option called “Play through the device” when you select your headphones from the AirAudio menu. This will force your phone’s speaker to turn off so that you don’t accidentally hear yourself talking or listening to music.

The Cast button at the bottom of the screen is what starts casting from your phone. You can also drag down on top of this button to stop casting if you need to.

Once you start playing some tunes with AirAudio, you should be able to hear them coming through your speakers or headphones. If not, try moving around until you find an area that works.

How To Cast Your Android Audio Using Chromecast-Compatible Apps

The second method uses a Chromecast-compatible app like Google Play Music or Spotify. These apps allow you to cast your audio from the phone’s speaker or headphones and other apps like Google Maps or Pandora.

On Google Play Store on your phone, search for “Google Play Music.” The app should be among the top results. Tap the ‘install’ button and allow the app to install on your device.

Select an audio source (your phone’s speaker or headphones), pick an app to cast from, and hit the Cast button at the bottom of the screen. Once you do this, you should see a button in your notification area that says “CAST.” You can tap this to stop casting if you want to.

Using Spotify as an example, start casting, tap the Play button in the top-left corner and start playing some music on either your phone or the Spotify app.

If you’re using headphones for audio, you’ll also see an option called “Play through the device” when you select your headphones from the Google Play Music menu. This will force your phone’s speaker to turn off so that you don’t accidentally hear yourself talking or listening to music.

The Cast button at the bottom of the screen is what starts casting from your phone. You can also drag down on top of this button to stop casting if you need to.

Once you start playing some tunes with Google Play Music, you should be able to hear them coming through your speakers or headphones. If not, try moving around until you find an area that works.

The advantage of using a third-party app like AirAudio is that it allows you to cast multiple apps simultaneously. You can also easily control the volume of your music through the AirAudio interface.

The drawback is that it requires an additional app and will cost you a few dollars to purchase.

The advantage of using Google Play Music or Spotify is that they’re free, but they only allow you to cast one audio source at once (either your phone’s speaker or headphones). The disadvantage is that these apps don’t have as much control over volume levels as AirAudio. So which method should I use?

The last method is using the Cast function on your phone. This is a simple way to cast music without third-party apps or additional devices. To get started, click on the Settings menu on your phone and tap “Wireless & networks.”

Then, find the Cast menu and tap it. You’ll see a list of all the Chromecast-compatible apps on your phone. You won’t see anything here if you don’t have any. But if you have some apps listed here, select one of them and hit the Cast button at the top of the screen.

To cast Google Play Music from my phone’s speakers, start by tapping the Play button in the top-left corner and start playing some music on either your phone or the Google Play Music app. Once you do this, you should see a button in your notification area that says “CAST.” You can tap this to stop casting if you want to.

If you’re using headphones for audio, you’ll also see an option called “Play through the device” when you select your headphones from the Chromecast app. This will force your phone’s speaker to turn off so that you don’t accidentally hear yourself talking or listening to music.
