As an AirPods owner, I know how frustrating it can be when your case isn’t holding enough charge to power your earbuds. I recently went through a process of researching, testing and trial and error to figure out the best way to keep my AirPods case fully charged. In this blog post, I’m going to share what I learned and other solutions I discovered that can help you keep your AirPods case charged and ready for when you need them.

How often to charge your AirPods case will depend heavily on how often you use your AirPods. Most people will need to charge the AirPods case every 3 days or so.

How often to charge AirPods case

How often you will need to charge the AirPods case will depend heavily on how often you use your AirPods. If you use your AirPods a lot, you will need to charge your AirPods case more often.

The AirPods gen 3 case gives up to 30 hours of listening time and 20 hours of talk time.

You can tell when you need to charge the case by taking your Airpods out of the case and opening the lid.

If the light flashes orange, it means that there is less than one full charge remaining in the case and you should charge it.

You can also see the amount of charge in the case by opening it near an iPad or iPhone while the AirPods are inside the case. The battery in the AirPods and the case will be displayed on the screen.

The AirPods case is designed so that it cannot be overcharged. So, it is ok if you want to charge your AirPod’s case overnight.

For most people, with regular use, it will be necessary to charge the case every 3 days or so.

How often to charge your AirPods pro case will depend heavily on how often you use the AirPods.

The AirPods Pro case can give up to 24 hours of listening time. If you use the AirPods a lot, you will likely need to charge the case every 2-3 days.

The AirPods Pro case will also not overcharge so you can charge it overnight if you want to.

You can also tell if it needs to be charged by taking the AirPods out of the case and opening the lid. An orange light means that there is less than one full charge remaining in the case.

You can also put the AirPods in the case and open the lid near an iPhone or iPad which should display the battery percentage on the screen.

How often do most people charge their AirPods case?

For most people, it will be necessary to charge the AirPods case every 3 days or so. However, it really depends a lot on how much you use the AirPods and the condition that their batteries are in.

The AirPods gen 3 can give up to 30 hours of listening time and 20 hours of talk time. This should give 5 full charges since the AirPods themselves can give up to 6 hours of listening.

The AirPods Pro case can give 24 hours of listening time. So, it should allow you to get 6 full charges since the AirPod Pros themselves can be used for up to 4 hours of listening.

Should I charge my AirPods case every night?

The AirPods case is designed so that it will not charge beyond 100%.

There is nothing stopping you from charging the case every night and it can be a convenient way to avoid allowing your case to be without power when you need it.

However, leaving a lithium-ion battery at 100% all the time can cause it to degrade slightly faster.

However, the extra convenience of being able to charge the case at night is worth it for most people and it is actually a lot worse to allow the case to be at 0% for too long.
