How to adjust AirPods volume in Zoom

As an AirPods owner, I know how frustrating it can be when the audio volume is too low or too loud in Zoom meetings. After some research and testing, I’m here to share how I solved this issue and some other solutions I discovered. In this blog post, I’ll be discussing the various ways to adjust the volume of your AirPods in Zoom.

To adjust the volume of AirPods in Zoom, start a meeting with yourself, click the “Audio” button on the bottom left of the screen, click “Audio settings” then you can adjust the output volume or you can adjust the input volume which will adjust the volume of your mic.

How to adjust AirPods volume in Zoom

The first option is to simply change the volume on your laptop directly.

Alternatively, to change the volume of AirPods in Zoom, start a new meeting with just yourself, click the arrow above the “Audio” button on the bottom left of the screen then click “Audio Settings”. From there a popup will appear where you can adjust the volume of your AirPods.

To adjust the volume that you hear from your AirPods, adjust the output volume. To adjust how loud you are when people hear you talking, adjust the input volume.

Why are my AirPods so loud in Zoom?

If your AirPods are loud on Zoom, it is likely to be because the volume is turned up high.

To lower the volume, start a meeting with yourself, click the arrow above “Audio” on the bottom left, then click “Audio settings” from there you can adjust the output volume.

You cannot mute your AirPods or AirPod Pros by clicking on them directly. The only way to mute AirPods, in Zoom, is to click on the mute button on the Zoom window itself.
