How to See Clipboard History on iPhone

As an iPhone owner, I know how frustrating it can be when you want to copy a certain piece of text or an image and you can’t remember what you had copied earlier. I recently faced this issue and after some research and testing, I’m here to share how I solved the problem and some other solutions I discovered. In this blog post, I’m going to walk you through how to see your clipboard history on iPhone.

While you can access the clipboard history on other devices, when it comes to your iPhone, this feature isn’t readily available. Whenever you copy something new, it deletes what you’ve previously copied.

But there’s no need to worry. Luckily, it’s now possible for you to save multiple clipboard copies that you can access anytime you need them.

Read on to learn how to see clipboard history on iPhone.

2 Ways to Save and Access Clipboard History on Your iPhone

As your iPhone can only give you access to the last thing that you’ve copied, you might have tried saving them on your Notes app.

It will work; however, it’s too inconvenient to copy and paste them one by one. Plus, you may accidentally delete them too.

So, we suggest that you try these methods instead:

Method 1: Using Microsoft SwiftKey

Microsoft SwiftKey doesn’t only correct your typos and allows you to seamlessly type bilingually.  This keyboard also lets you add, save, and access clipboards on your device. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to App Store and download Microsoft SwiftKey and install it on your phone. After it’s installed on your device, set it as your default keyboard. To do this, go to your phone’s Settings, then tap General, next click Keyboard, after that select Add New Keyboard, and choose SwiftKey. Finish the setting by tapping on Allow Full Access.
  2. Open an app where you can use your keyboard. Once the keyboard appears, hit the globe icon to set your default keyboard to SwiftKey.
  3. Choose a text or link, then highlight and copy it.
  4. Access your keyboard again and click the + icon on the upper right.
  5. Go to the clipboard icon and when you see your copied text or link, save it.

This method is better than using the Notes App, as you can easily access the clipboard while typing. Every time you need to view your clipboard history, just tap the plus (+) and the clipboard icons.

If you want to rearrange the order of your saved content, simply tap Edit. Moreover, just swipe left and click Delete to remove a clipboard from the list.

Method 2: Using a Clipboard Manager App

If you don’t want to trade your built-in keyboard for something else, you can install a clipboard manager app on your phone instead.

Several apps allow iPhone users to save any copied texts and view their clipboard history.

We’ve made a list of applications that might help you. But please note that as developers constantly update them, you might encounter some compatibility issues.

  1. Clipboard ++

If you’re looking for a free application that can easily save your clipboard history, Clipboard ++ is a good option.

The app is very convenient to use as it recognizes phone numbers and links. That means you can easily make a call from the app and open a website directly with a long press.

What’s more? It doesn’t need to be open to track your copied content. Simply highlight and copy texts, links, or numbers, and they will automatically be recorded in the app.

  1. Oneboard – Clipboard

Oneboard can save all your copied content and allows you to access them in the future. But unlike Clipboard++, you need to open it to work.

So, once you’ve installed it on your phone, it will save the copied content in three steps:

  1. Copy a text
  2. Open Oneboard app
  3. Tap Clipboard

There might be more steps in saving your copied content, but it’s easier to access it. If you want to copy a saved clipboard, you just need to tap it once and paste it somewhere else.

  1. CLIP+

This app allows you to save texts, links, phone numbers, as well as photos. You can also call phone numbers and open links directly from the app.

Just like Clipboard++, it automatically saves all your copied content for later use, but the difference is that CLIP+  isn’t a free app.

  1. Clips Board

Clip Board allows you to save links, texts, and photos and paste them easily to another app. But you must open the app and click the save button to keep your copied content for future use.

But what’s special about this app is it allows you to access your saved data from Today Widget. Therefore, you can copy them without opening the app.

Be careful when using a third-party app that might be able to access your personal information. For security reasons, never save your passwords, credit card details, and other sensitive data.
