  3. Wait a few days to see if you get used to them
  4. Try attaching some ear hooks for AirPods
  5. Try silicon covers for AirPods

If you are using AirPods Pro, it would also help to try changing the size of the ear tips and to try a different type of ear tip such as memory foam.

How to stop AirPods from hurting?

Below are things you can do about your AirPods hurting your ears.

Wait a few days

The first thing would be to actually just reserve judgment for a few days. It is very common for a pair of earphones to hurt for the first few days and then to stop hurting afterward.

If your AirPods are new, try wearing them for a few more days. If the AirPods are still hurting then, try one of the other tips mentioned below.

Silicon covers

There are silicone covers that you can get for AirPods which help the AirPods to fit in the ears more tightly. It could help to try one of these.

This would be particularly recommended if you have found that your AirPods have been falling out a lot.

Ear hooks

There are ear hooks you can get that fit onto your AirPods and hook around your ears.

These earhooks can help spread out the weight of your AirPods around your entire ear and reduce the pain you might be getting in particular areas.

Make sure you are wearing them correctly

It would also help to make sure that you have been putting AirPods in correctly. If you have not been putting them in correctly, they will be more likely to hurt.

Try wearing the AirPods sideways

A number of people have found that changing the angle of the AirPods changes their fit and feel.

Instead of wearing the AirPods with the stem going straight down, try wearing the AirPods so that the stem is angled more towards where your mouth is.

Try alternative earphones

If you have been wearing the AirPods for more than a few days and the you have tried the above and the AirPods are still hurting, consider buying different earphones.

How to stop AirPod Pros from hurting?

To stop your AirPod Pros from hurting, you can try the same tips as with regular AirPods mentioned above.

However, it might be the case that the ear tips you are using are too big or too small. It would help to try different-sized ear tips. You can buy them directly from Apple.

Alternatively, you might want to try a different type of eartip. The ear tips that come with AirPods Pro are silicon ear tips.

However, you can also get ear tips from memory foam as well. You might find that memory foam ear tips give a better fit in your ears.
