Why Is There a Black Line On My Hisense TV?

Why Is There a Black Line On My Hisense TV?

How to Fix a Black Line on a Hisense TV

Check and Replace Your Cables

Proper seating ensures that the image clarity is stable and high-quality. There will also be no need to worry about black lines on the screen.

Cable replacement is quite common in specific areas. High humidity and extreme temperatures in some regions often make your cables corrode much sooner. For this reason, inspect your wires from time to time.

Update Firmware

One of the biggest causes of black lines on your Hisense screen is outdated firmware.

Investing in advanced and current software will cushion you from this problem. This solution requires you to keep the graphics drivers updated.

These updates will ensure there are no bugs or errors with the system. At the same time, you could consider updating the entire system, protecting your TV from unwanted security and image transmission issues.

Updating firmware is significantly straightforward. You’ll first need to launch the Smart Hub by pressing the Home button.

This step allows you to navigate to settings, where you will select support. Next, click on software updates and update your system. Follow the on-screen prompts to kickstart the process.

Reset Your Hisense TV

Suppose your firmware is updated, but the black line persists. In that case, it would be best to consider factory resetting your device.

That is because the source could be corrupted. Your graphic drive might also be compromised, meaning that this factory reset will ensure that the problem goes away.

You can reset your Hisense TV by following simple steps on your remote control. Usually, you will press the Home button and select Settings. Here, you will navigate to Reset via General.

Once you click reset, you will be prompted to enter the default pin, four zeros. Follow the on-screen prompts until the process is completed.

Consider a Picture Test

A picture test is a self-diagnostic process that allows the TV to identify the problem and find a suitable solution.

Its goal is to troubleshoot the black line-related problem and find an excellent solution. In most cases, this process ensures that you understand whether your Hisense TV is compatible with a specific image.

You can perform this process by clicking on Device Care under Support.

Clicking this tab allows the device to conduct a quick scan before you can select the Self Diagnosis button. Next, click on Picture Test and choose OK.

Replace the Screen

Sometimes, the black line on your screen indicates that the TV is damaged or broken. In such instances, you will need to replace the screen.

However, it would be best to procure it from a reputable Hisense dealer. A genuine Hisense screen will likely last long, giving you value for your money. You will also be sure of no compatibility issues.
