An alternative is to visit samsung.com/support/ on a computer and type in your TV’s model number. Go to “Downloads” under “Information.”

Download the latest update, open the file and extract it to a USB flash drive. Most drives will work, including units formatted using NTFS or FAT.

Connect the USB drive to the smart TV. Navigate to “Software update” under “Support” in “Settings.” Choose “USB” and wait for the television to complete its update process.

Why won’t the browser update on Samsung TV?

Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to install other browsers on these TVs.

The most practical solution is to attach a set-top box with superior software. For instance, a Roku with Web Browser X would probably improve your internet browsing experience.
