Why is there a Green Line on My Samsung TV?

This allows you to watch videos that would otherwise be far too small to fully enjoy on a large Samsung television.
Those overscan lines are simply what your television does when it doesn’t have any information to fill the blanks.
In the same way that playing an album on a record player will sound wrong if set to the incorrect speed, footage on a television will look wrong if set to an incorrect resolution.
Screen Fit and just scan help you enjoy content on your full-size Samsung TV, but it might also require you to adjust the resolution and image size to get rid of those overscan lines.

If there are green lines going across your Samsung TV that clearly should not be there, it it could be due to the following reasons:

How to Fix the Green Line on My Samsung TV?
Fixing over scanlines is about knowing what has caused them. The most obvious fixes are going to be adjusting your screen to a 16:9 resolution and then increasing the image size until it fills up the entire screen.
Green lines that appear inside of the image itself rather than on the edge could be a sign that your TV is experiencing a signal problem and needs to be turned off for 30 seconds while you check all of the connections.
Fixing Overscan Green Lines On a Samsung TV
Fixing the overscan lines on a Samsung TV is simple and easy. All you need to do is set your resolution to 16:9 and then increase the size of the image so that it extends just beyond the edge of the television.
This will force all of those over scan lines outside of the visual field so you can enjoy your favorite movies and TV shows without any intrusive lines on the edge of the frame.
Fixing Green Lines Caused By Signal Problems and Glitches
If your green lines are showing up inside the image, there’s a good chance that your Samsung TV is experiencing a connection problem.
The first step to fixing these is to turn off your Samsung television and leave it off for 30 seconds.
While your Samsung TV is off, you should check all physical connections to ensure that your TV is securely plugged in and nothing is getting in the way of your connection.
Try a software update
There is a possibility that there is a software bug causing the issue. You can turn on automatic software updates by going ”settings” then ”support” then “software update” and ensure ”Auto Update” is turned on. Alternatively, you can manually update over the internet by clicking ”Update now”.
Try doing a soft reset
Often, a soft reset is all that is needed to solve issues on a Samsung TV. A soft reset does not erase any data. To soft reset a Samsung TV, you simply need to turn the TV off, then remove the plug from the wall outlet and wait for 60 seconds, then put the plug back in and turn the TV on again.
Try a hard reset
A hard reset involves completely reseting the TV to its factory defaults and your data will be erased.
To do this, do the following:
- Turn on the TV and press the “Home” button on the remote
- Go to “settings”
- Then click “general”
- Then click “reset”
- You must then enter a 4 digit pin number which is 0 0 0 0 by default
- Then click ”Yes” to reset the TV
- The TV will then turn off once it has finished resetting
- You can now turn the TV back on and set it up again
Do a Picture Test
A picture test is a self-diagnostic process that allows the TV to identify the problem and find a suitable solution.
To do this, do the following:
- Press the “settings button”
- Go to “Support”
- Go to “Device Care”
- Go to “Self diagnosis”
- Then click “Picture Test”
